This major release of SHRINE includes an upgraded query structure - version 2 query messaging , which changes the core definition of how queries are defined, constructed and interpreted. 4.0 is not backward compatible with previous versions. 4.0 also includes an alpha release (undocumented, untested) of the message oriented middlewaer protocols for Kafka and SQS. In addition, sites now have the option to integrate Single Sign On between Shine and their institution's identity provider.
For users, they will now be able to add a third event to event based queries.
