Additionally, you should make sure to upgrade your JDBC driver.  The driver should support JDK 11 and later.  We have had success with ojdbc8.jar (version 19.7.0.0) running with SHRINE 3.0.0-PR1, and it can be downloaded from https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/oracle/database/jdbc/ojdbc8/19.7.0.0/.  Place the driver in /opt/shrine/tomcat/lib and remove any prior versions of the driver before restarting SHRINE.
